Over a decade of ongoing conflict has decimated Yemen's economy. Approximately, four million people have been forced from their homes. Kids are starving and waterborne disease rips through overcrowded camps where there are no doctors or medical facilities. This is one of the world's worst humanitarian crises.
The region of Marib has been among the hardest hit. This semi-desert district holding over two million displaced Yemenis in overcrowded IDP camps stitched together from material that cannot withstand wind or heat. Drought never lets up.
Al Mustafa Canada is actively engaged on the ground, pushing food packs, clean water, emergency shelter, and permanent medical clinics into the areas that need them most. We provide wide ranging support covering immediate relief and livelihood restoration projects.
Our teams are exclusively working with UN registered partners to provide essential aid.

Twenty million people need humanitarian assistance. Health facilities are destroyed or only partially functioning. Public services have collapsed. Economic collapse has gutted purchasing power so badly that millions do not know where their next meal is coming from.
The people who pay the highest price are always the same: Babies, Pregnant women, The elderly. Yemen had the worst maternal mortality in the Arab region before the war. Now, with health facilities closed across impoverished areas, mothers die giving birth because there is nothing to help them. Million children face acute food insecurity. Families adopt negative coping mechanisms no parent should ever consider. Your support converts financial assistance into action.
We carry out regular distributions of nutritious food, keeping families fed, healthy and fighting malnutrition. Our food pack provides a family of five with enough essential food items to keep them fed for an entire month.
To combat hunger and increase food security more sustainably, we are establishing a bread bakery in Yemen which will enables us to distribute freshly baked bread daily, feeding thousands of vulnerable Yemeni families living in IDP camps.
Donate today to provide the people of Yemen with food amid the awful famine, droughts, and conflict they are facing.
Sixteen million Yemenis do not have clean drinking water. That is not a typo. Waterborne disease moves fast, and children are always the first to get sick.
Our teams deliver water tanks to IDP camps and hospitals on a daily basis. Each one carries 6,000 litres. But tanks are temporary. For a proper long-term fix, we are installing solar powered pumps and constructing deep water wells that will serve over 5,000 people from two camps, every single day, for years to come. Chlorination tablets are distributed alongside to protect against contamination.

Those most in need of medical assistance are babies, children, the elderly, those with disabilities and pregnant women. Yemen has the highest maternal mortality rate in the Arab region, as the lack of maternal health services are resulting in unsafe deliveries and women dying during or after childbirth.
We are running regular temporary medical clinics providing life-saving aid to almost 6,000 beneficiaries. But to help save more precious lives, we are constructing permanent facilities in IDP camps that will serve thousands of internally displaced Yemenis over years.
The new health facilities will include an emergency room, two clinics, a pharmacy, a laboratory and an adequate waiting room. At the health centre, Yemenis will be able to access quality general health support, internal medicine, paediatrics, and gynaecology, including maternity care and safe delivery.
